The Wimmera Machinery Field Days is excited to host two of the region’s best and progressive food and eatery business.
Coming to the Field Days this year for the first time will be Amber Ridge Café from Apsley and the Creekside Hotel from Warracknabeal.
On Tuesday 7th March the recently established Amber Ridge Café in Apsley in the west Wimmera is also home to a Farm Shop, Nursery and Produce and Wood Fired Pizzas. With a dedicated desire to only use the best local produce in all preparations owner Cindy Cross is passionate about producing the best and freshest food. The team from Amber Ridge will be promoting their ‘Grow It – Eat It’ program to Field Days patrons showcasing how to use the best local produce for the tastiest of treats and that the best food is in ‘our backyards’.
On Thursday 9th March the auditorium will host Warracknabeal Creekside Hotel owners Kevin and Sally Gebert who operate the only waterfront restaurant in the Wimmera and have fast gained a reputation as a fine dining and great entertainment venue. An exciting initiative that they have been a part of is the annual Creekside BBQ Battles held in October fast gaining a reputation for drawing some of the best barbeques from Victoria and interstate.
The Creekside team will be on stage showing, cooking and talking to Field Days patrons about their ‘Creekside Signature Sausages’ with a chance for some tasting at the end of the show.
